Among other things, it describes some of the work I have been doing on early modern playbooks and the practice of &#8220;stab-stitching,&#8221; work that forms the first chapter of my dissertation. The piece provides a very brief account of just what &#8220;stab-stitching&#8221; is and how my research reevaluates its significance to our understanding of the history of drama as a literary form. There is also some discussion of my book collecting and its impact on my academic research.
